Returns

Unwanted Items

If you wish to return an unwanted item to Avery Truman Home Hardware you have 14 days from the dispatch date to do so. The item/s must be returned unused and in their original, resalable, complete condition.

- Orders that are cut to size or mixed to specification are non refundable -

We will not be held responsible for the method used to return unwanted items or the cost of doing so. We strongly recommend you use a traceable service to return any items to us as we will not be held responsible for any items lost or damaged in transit.

We reserve the right to refuse a return if we consider the item to not be in a resalable condition. In some circumstances we may apply our 20% restocking charge. To find out if this applies to your purchase you can contact us by phone 0208 850 9621 or by emailing us via the CONTACT US page.

All refunds are subject to inspection of goods once they are returned to us. Any unwanted item/s returned to us that qualify for a refund will have NO refund of delivery charges.

Defective Items

If an item purchased from Avery Truman Home Hardware arrives in a broken, damaged or non-functioning state, we must be immediately contacted by emailing us via the CONTACT US link. You must provide us with your name and order number in all correspondence.

Avery Truman Home Hardware may use a courier service to collect the item/s from you. If you fail to meet the courier’s requirements of access to the parcel you may be charged for a return visit by them. Alternatively we may ask you to return the item/s to us pending fault investigation. If the item/s has a genuine defect or damage not due to customer or courier negligence we will refund the cost of returns to us and replace the item/s at no cost to you.

Avery Truman Home Hardware reserves the right to replace a particular part or alternatively repair and damaged item as we see fit.

If an item becomes defective within 1 year of purchase you may return this item to us. If, on inspection, the item is considered faulty due to customer negligence we will contact you with either the cost of repair or replacement costs. If, however, a genuine fault has occurred we will provide either a refund or replacement - this is to be determined at our discretion - We may also require any warranty information that was originally supplied with the item.
